Dr. K.D.Prasad, M.Stat., PGDDE, PGJMC & Ph.D.
Dr. K.D. Prasad has joined IGNOU in 1994; he is an accomplished Statistician, Academic Administrator and has rich experience of planning and optimizing the utilization of resources for the Open & Distance Learning (ODL) system. He is a good theoretician and able Practitioner of ODL system. He has vast experience of contributing at several Regional Centres in the country. He had also provided his services to Student Evaluation Division for a short period. The University has also assigned him with the task of preparation of XII Plan Document of IGNOU.
Before joining IGNOU, he had also taught Bio-Statistics in the School of Life Sciences at NEHU, Shillong. He has published several Articles, Research Papers, Book and had contributed a weekly column on Career Counselling for the youths in one of the National Dailies for about more than two years. During Covid period he has conceptualized a FaceBook Live Programme “Hello IGNOU” for extending Seamless Learner’s Support Services to Students. He has undertaken more than dozen Online programmes
