Dr. Sujata Santosh is working as Assistant Director at the National Centre for Innovation in Distance Education, IGNOU. She has been involved in the design and development of web-based and online learning projects. At present, she is also coordinating the activities of the InnovationClub@IGNOU - an initiative by IGNOU to foster a culture of innovation in the University. She is involved in organizing various activities of the club including brainstorming and ideation sessions, talks, seminars and workshops. In the early years of her career, she worked and contributed to projects such as IGNOU-NISSAT Project for Web-Enhanced training programme on WINISIS and the National Digital Repository project. She has worked in IT industry, specifically on documentation of various software projects. She has designed curriculum and developed courseware for various eLearning programmes. With rich experience of writing and editing, she also has been involved in content development for online programmes. She has been involved in course writing for distance education programmes at IGNOU, specifically on library and information sciences and education.

She has carried out research studies on open education resources, e-governance, use of web 2.0 tools in libraries, and various other aspects related to distance education, library and information sciences, use of technology in education. She has participated in international and national conferences, seminars and workshops and presented on topics related to distance education and technology developments in education and innovative trends and practices.
