The objective of 'Open Learning Interventions for Development of Competent and Productive Human Resources for Food Processing' is to develop competent and productive Human Resource  in the area of food processing and value addition, through an array of customised open learning educational/training packages, using multi-media technologies. The vocational and entrepreneurial programmes being developed for skilled workers, technician and rural entrepreneurs under the project are:

  • Diploma in Value Added Products from Fruits and Vegetables
  • Diploma in Dairy Technology
  • Diploma in Meat Technology
  • Diploma in Fish Products Technology
  • Diploma in Production of Value Added Products from Cereals, Pulses and Oilseeds

The project is supported by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India. It is envisaged that the trained workforce will facilitate enhanced productivity and better quality of the system and orient the youth towards self-occupation at the village/community level.  All the five programmes are on offer.
