Dr. Richa Prakash
Assistant Professor
Dr. Richa Prakash takes pleasure in the merit of doing her Ph.D. from Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad, Masters (UGC-NET) from The M. S. University of Baroda and Bachelor’s from St. Marys College, Shillong. Dr. Prakash specializes in the area of Clothing & Textiles (Home Science) and garners rich experience in both industry as well as academics in the field of textiles. Before joining Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, she has worked as an Assistant Professor at JDBI, Jadavpur University and GCU, Bangalore University. With more than 8 years of work experience, she has mentored 3 students at Masters level and is the co-guide of a PhD Scholar. With publications in both National and International journals, she has been credited with Gold Medal and was awarded Savitiri Pandit Award. Dr. Prakash has actively participated in national conferences/seminars.
At present Dr. Richa Prakash is appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Home Science, School of Continuing Education, IGNOU, New Delhi. She is the Programme Co-ordinator of Diploma in Apparel Merchandising.
