Programmes planned to be developed

 MPhil/PhD Programme (Phase–II)

The MPhil/PhD (Phase-II) Programme is planned to be developed for candidates who have acquired master's degree in Education. However, the programme would also have provisions for master's degree holders in other disciplines and would like to pursue research in areas of Education. The major objectives of the programme would be

(i) Capacity building of teachers and teacher educators,  

 (ii) Promote interdisciplinary studies and research.

 In conformity with the IGNOU ordinance on Research Degree Programme the M.Phil Programme shall consist of 30 credits worth course work and 30 credits worth dissertation. The course work and dissertation can be completed in a period of two years. However a student may take up to 2 years for completing course work and also 2 years for submitting the dissertation. The first year would be devoted to course work.

M Phil Programme shall be so structured that it can provide the necessary tool and techniques for personnel working in various education institutions e.g. educational planning, financing of education, teacher education, educational research and such other institutions.

 Certificate Programme in Adult Education (CPAE)

The Certificate Programme in Adult Education will be available to functionaries involved in the Adult Education Programmes at the grass-root level. It will be an extension Programme of the School of a 6-month duration.
