Dr. Suneet Srivastava is the Director School of Law IGNOU. She joined IGNOU on 17th Nov, 2005. Before joining IGNOU, she worked as an Assistant Professor in The West Bengal National Law University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata for more than a year. She has been a topper in LLB and has secured a first class throughout her academic career. She has been a meritorious student and obtained distinctions in B.Sc Physics (hons), was a recipient of UGC merit scholarship in LLB and obtained 1st class, second position in University in LLM. She has also got JRF award in the NET examination. She has got distinctions in Income Tax, Professional ethics, Consumer Laws, Laws relating to Women, and Constitutional Law in LLB. She specializes in Criminal Law, IPR, Family Law, Cyber Law and Human Rights. During her tenure in NUJS she was chosen by the Office of Public Affairs, US Consulate General, American Centre, Kolkata to be one of the Panelist to deliver on the topic ‘Judicial Reforms – Developments in ADR mechanisms’. She has delivered various lectures as a Guest of Honour and resource person on IPR, Human Rights, Labour Law, Refugee law, Media Law,  She has delivered lectures on IPR and drafting in ILDR, Ministry of Law and Justice. She is a Board Member of Indira Gandhi University Rewari Meerpur
 

Dr Srivastava is an allumini of Banaras Hindu University Varanasi. She has actively been involved in various Committees of IGNOU like National IPR Policy Committee, MOU Committee, Member of Academic Council, Board Member of other School’s of IGNOU, RSD Committee, Legal Advisory Committee, Doctoral Committee and Board of Studies school of Law

She has also been a Member of IPR Committee of NRDC and many other premier IPR organisations. Dr. Srivastava has delivered many lectures on different topics of IPR like Copy Rights, Patents, Trade Marks etc., for National Centre for Innovation in Distance Education a Centre in IGNOU which promotes innovation in Distance Education. Dr Srivastava was appointed as a trainer for IPR students of IGNOU by NCIDE as she was an active member of Innovation Council of NCIDE.

She has developed two Programmes on IPR for IGNOU and is the programme coordinator of Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights and Post Graduate certificate in patent Practice.
