Dr. Seema Rani

Assistant Professor

Dr. Seema Rani is an Assistant Professor at School of Social Work, Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU). She did her B.A. in Social work from Aditi Mahavidhalaya, Delhi University and M.A in Social Work from Mahatma Gandhi ChitrakootGramodayaVishawidhalaya (MGCGV),MadhayaPardesh. She is Ph.D in Social work from University of Delhi and recipient of Junior and Senior Research Fellowship from UGC during the period of 2009-2014.

 

Dr. Seema has attended and presented paperin a fully funded two-week workshop titled “Social Entrepreneurship within health and social innovation” organized by Brown International Research Institute (BIARI) Brown University, USA in June 2018.She has presented research papers in several national and international Conferences / Seminars and published research articles, paper in national and international journals. Prior to her academic experience, she worked with International Organizations (Project Concern International (PCI) and AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) as Counsellor. She has also worked as Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) in Social Welfare Department, Government of Delhi.Her academic and research areas include HIV, Counselling, Public Health, Elders, Women and Children. Presently, she is the Coordinator for Organizing National Webinar Series-2022 in School of Social work, IGNOU.
