Lecture on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) held at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Convention centre, Maidan Garhi, Delhi. The lecture was delivered by Prof. H. Devaraj, Vice-Chairman, University Grants Commission, New Delhi, Prof Nageshwar Rao, Vice Chancellor, IGNOU, Prof S.C. Garg of IGNOU and S.K. Sharma Registrar, Student Registration Division (SRD) were present during the lecture.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Devaraj said “UGC has initiated several measures to bring equity, efficiency and excellence in the Higher Education System of our country”

He said “Grading system is considered to be better than conventional marking system. Uniform grading system will facilitate student mobility across institutions and also enable potential employers to assess the performance of students.”
