SOFL RUSSIAN TRAINING WORKSHOP for IAF

A Short Term Training Workshop in Russian language for Indian Air Force Officers is being organised by the School of Foreign Languages at IGNOU Campus. The inaugural function of the workshop was held on 5th May, 2016 at SOFL IGNOU. Senior Ranking Officials from the Indian Air Force- Air Commodore LN Sharma, Gp Capt AK Varshneya VSM, and Wing Commander BJ Manoj, graced the occasion.

Director SOFL- Prof. Anju Sahgal Gupta welcomed the dignitaries and apprised them about the School of Foreign Languages and its vision & mission. Faculty of Russian- Mr. Shivaji Bhaskar gave a brief introduction of the programme to the participants from the IAF.

Prof. Ravindra Kumar, Vice-Chancellor (In- charge), IGNOU and Prof. Manjulika Srivastava, Director, Academic Coordination Division, IGNOU also met the dignitaries from the IAF. During the interaction, Prof. Ravindra Kumar assured the IAF officials of all possible support for academic purposes.

Our main purpose of conducting this unique training workshop is to help the IAF officials in learning the required foreign language in a systematic and accurate manner said the Workshop Coordinator- Mr. Shivaji Bhaskar.
