As a fast emerging profession Event Management combines creativity, knowledge and experience.

The Diploma in Event Management in IGNOU came as a demand from the event industry, and also because of a crucial requirement for event management curriculum at this juncture. While the field is undergoing expansion, the event industry is facing acute shortage of knowledgeable manpower, and is suffering from work skills deficiency and attrition rates. Hence there is a need for focused learning to bridge the gap between the growing need for trained professionals and their availability.
