The Chair is situated in the School of Engineering and Technology.  It helps develop intense work-education linkages in the areas of engineering and technology and identifies training and research needs of the industry. The main objectives of the Chair are:

• Identify technological gaps between the needs in the field and available technology
• Develop more intense work-education linkages in engineering and technology areas
• Identify training and research needs of the industry and
• Develop tailor-made education and training programmes to cater to the customised needs of the industry.
