India is the largest producer of milk in the world, and is likely to become the second largest dairy products producer in the coming years. The dairy industry requires inculcation of scientific culture for development of cost effective innovative technologies, new products and to meet the challenges of global trade and food safety. The programme aims to equip dairy professionals in the industry and institutes to undertake quality research in the area of dairy technology. It shall provide a platform for undertaking industrial research and testing of the technologies developed at the research institutes.
Objectives:
The objectives of the programme are to: (i) to provide research opportunities to the academician/researcher/industry professional in the area of dairy science and technology; (ii) to facilitate research and development activities in Indian Dairy Industry; (iii) to strengthen the research activities in the area of dairy science and technology; and (iv) to develop the human resource capabilities of research & teaching personnel of agriculture universities & ICAR institutes.
Programme Structure:
This research degree programme is offered with a Course work of 32 Credits and Research work of 64 credits. The course work will have 4 Core Compulsory Courses of 4 credits each (16 Credits) and 4 optional Courses of 4 credits each (16 Credits). For course works Click on Courses Tag.

Programme Fee: Rs.16,800/- with course work, Rs.8,400/- without course work, Rs.15,000/- per annum laboratory fees
