Dr. Suman Singh is currently appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Home Science School of Continuing Education at Indira Gandhi National Open University New Delhi. Her specialized in the area of Home Science Extension Education and Communication and has done Masters, B.Ed. and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University and also done Certificate Course in Yoga from BHU Varanasi. She had passed the NET (UGC) Examination in the year of 2011 and 2013. She has been awarded Best paper and poster presentation award at Rajmata Vijayraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Gwalior (MP) and Agricultural University Sabour Bhagalpur Bihar in the year of 2016 and 2017.
 

She has participated in the various national and international conferences workshop and presented paper. She was recipient of Rajiv Gandhi National fellowship in the year of 2014. She has also been members of different professional bodies, and has three year teaching experience of UG and PG classes in the degree colleges.
 

Dr. Singh had many research contribution and publications (National and International Journals) to her credit. Her areas of interest are extension education, communication, women empowerment, participation, Panchayat chunav, lok sabha, election Traditional and mass media.First is swasth loktantra me ramban jan sahbhagita it published in Sanskrit journal in 2013. Second is Anusuchit jatiyo ke primary siksha vikas me sikhsha mantralaya ka yogdan it published in conference related journal in 2014. Third is Panchayat Chunav me prachar prasar madhymo ka yogdan it published in Dirshti journal in 2015, fourth is krishi vikas ke liye sarkar dwara chalaya ja rhe karyakramo ka adhyayan it published in conference related journals (Agriculture extension) in 2016 Fifth is lokmadhyamo ki pransgikita it published in sodh prawah journal in 2016, Sixth is panchayat chunav me jansahbhagita it published in the Original source journal in the year of 2017, Seventh is Loksabha chunav 2014 me shahri avam Gramin Mahilao ki chunav se ke jane wali apekshao ka adhyayan it published in journal of current Science in year 2019 Eight is Lokshabha chunav 2014 me sahare evam gramin mahila matdatao ke sahabhagita ke karno ka adhyayan it published in sodh prawah journal in the year of 2018, and Nineth is Lokshabha chunav 2014 me mahila matdatao ke chunav me Rujhan k karno ka Adhyayan it published in the journal of current Science in the year of 2019 Tenth is participation of skill development programme in empowerment of Rural women. It published in the journal name of Indian journal of extension education in the year of 2021, eleventh is role of media in political empowerment of women ,it published in international (edited) journal of emerging scenario in indain higher education system, issues and challenges. In the year of 2018.

Currently, she is involved in the development of PG. Programme of M.Sc. in Home Science ,and MOOC on Swayam Creative Communication extension & Community Resources Management for sustainable development (in Hindi).
