Dr. Shakir Ali Siddiqui

Assistant Professor

Dr. Shakir Ali Siddiqui holds Bachelor’s Degree from Mumtaz P.G. College, University of Lucknow, Master’s Degree in Urdu from Aligarh Muslim University, M.Phil. and PhD from the Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi. Dr. Shakir Ali Siddiqui is currently working as Assistant Professor and teaches Urdu Language & Literature at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). He has taught Urdu as Senior Research Fellow at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Worked as faculty for one and a half years in the department of Urdu, Bhagwant University, Ajmer, Rajasthan. His basic research interests are old and classical criticism with special reference to practical criticism. He has a keen interest in the analyzation of poetic text and its artistic treatment. He has authored dozens of research papers, and some book chapters to his credit. Dr. Shakir Ali Siddiquiis also coordinator for Ph.D. program at the said university.
