This programme also analyzes the concept of Indian Literature, examines important texts closely, including short fiction, poetry, play, non-fictional prose, in English translations. It gives us a glimpse of folklore as it addressing representative oral and written folk literatures from across the globe, and acquaints the learners with folk and tribal versions of Indian Bhasha literatures. And lastly we look at an integral part of the curricula at colleges and universities across the globe - literary theory and criticism, beginning from classical times, including romantic criticism, new criticism, feminist theories, deconstruction and contemporary theories.
