Master of Business Administration (Banking & Finance) (MBF)

Eligibility:

The Candidates should be a member of the Indian Institute of Bankers and should satisfy the following conditions:
a) Passed Bachelor Degree of Minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).
b) S/he should have passed the CAIIB examination of Indian Institute of Banking &Finance, Mumbai and awarded the requisite qualification/credentials thereof by the Institute.
c) S/he should have been working in the banking or financial service sector for a period of atleast two years.

Fee: Rs. 15500/-Per Semester, Total 4 Semester= Rs. 62000/-

 

This Programme was launched by the School of Management Studies, IGNOU, following an MoU between IGNOU and the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) in order to provide an avenue for post graduate academic qualification in Banking and Financial Services, for the members of the IIBF. This Programme has been designed to meet the customized needs of banking professions with CAIIB certification. The Programme has been considered desirable to upgrade the managerial skills and capabilities of the in-service banking professionals.
The MBA (Banking & Finance) (MBF) Programme consists of 28 courses with a total credit weightage of 116 credits in all. These courses comprise of:
a) Twenty (20) Core courses (from MMPC-001 to MMPC-020) of 4 Credit each = 80 Credits.
b) Seven (07) Courses from any one of the chosen specialization area of 4 credits each = 28 Credits.
c) One (01) Project course MMPP-001 of 8 credits. MMPP-001 (Project Course) is equivalent to two courses. The fee will be equivalent to two courses. However, for registration purposes MMPP-001 (Project Course) is treated as one course.
d) Students need to select 7 courses in each of the semesters during the programmes.
