M.A. in Translation Studies (or in a relevant subject) with 55% marks. In the case of SC/ST, OBC (Non- Creamy Layer) and differently abled and other categories as per decision of UGC.


Course Fee: w.e.f. July, 2019 with course work Rs. 33,600/- and without course work Rs. 25,200/-.

The School offers Ph.D programme to those candidates who have a post-graduate degree in translation studies, literature, linguistics, cultural studies or allied subjects with proven competence in translation. The programme has an entrance examination and the candidates are interviewed by a doctoral committee of experts in the area for admission.

Weightage : 70% for Entrance Examination and 30% for interview.

The candidates admitted for the programme have to undertake the course work and those who have already undertaken the course work will be exempted. The course work consists of the following courses:

RTT-101 Research Methodology 4 Credits
RTT-102 Translation Theory and Practice 4 Credits
RTT-103 Critiquing Translation 4 Credits
RTT-104 Translation and Power 4 Credits
