Diploma in Fashion Design and Retail (DFDR)

Eligibility:

10+2 (Senior Secondary) passed from recognized Board or pass out students of CFDE programme from IGNOU or equivalent courses/programme from Government recognised institution, credit will be transferred as per university norms.

This programme aims to develop fashion retail professionals specialized in the areas of retail buying and merchandising, store operations, supply chain management as well as visual merchandising, advertising, garment construction sale and marketing and the proposal and progress of the fashion ideas.This programme will provide detail understanding of fashion and fashion industry. They can learn from the source of design or pattern inspiration to the production of an original prototype in this programme. It will develop detail knowledge, concepts, history and skills for the fashion design professional, retail buyers and merchandiser, visual merchandiser and many more.
 
To achieve the comprehensive aim, the programme seeks to:
Ø Develop specialized knowledge and understanding of fashion design, textile and pattern making.
Ø Acquaint the knowledge and understanding of Fashion Industry and marketing.
Ø Explore the various aspects of retail management and visual merchandising.
Ø Develop the knowledge of IT application in fashion retailing and explore the aspects of fashion marketing and retail management
