SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Computer Division focuses on Software development using Web Technologies for needs of the University, particularly, Student management for various activities those are being performed during learner life cycle by various stake holders. Some of the Software Applications (Online/Offline) developed by the Division are Registration Data Transfer Service (RDTS), Creation of Learners’ Central Database, Term End Examination (TEE) forms submission, submission of Assignment, Practical and Project marks, Student e-Profile, Change in Name, Address, RC,SC, Medium, etc for a registered Learners, Registry & process of Unfair Means (UFM), Convocation registration, Recruitments, Student Mobile App and other such related. Different Software interfaces are designed and developed for various stake holders of the University to facilitate for their needs, on demand.

Student Mobile App

‘IGNOU Student App’ is an official Mobile App of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in addition to ‘IGNOU e-Content App’. It is one of the ICT initiatives of the University, designed and developed by the Computer Division to provide technology enhanced support services to IGNOU Students through Smart Mobile Devices such as Mobile Phones, Tablets and Other such devices. The App facilitates the enrolled Students of the University to view/download/print the following after successful login:
• Identity Card
• Registration Details
• Material Dispatch Status
• Hall Ticket
• Results (Term-End and Grade Card)
• Interfacing with Online Services (Admission, Examination, Convocation, Grievances, Website and Other)
