Dr. Suraj Kumar
Associate Professor
Dr. Suraj Kumar holds a distinguished academic background with M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His diverse interests encompass Translation, 'Film and Literature', Diary, Travel Writing, Memoirs, Gerontology, and Hindi Literature.
Having completed the Film Appreciation Course by NFAI and FTII, Dr. Kumar was honoured with a Silver Badge in the Film Appreciation Course conducted by NPTEL, IIT Madras. Currently, he is engaged in a Research Associateship at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla, exploring 'Different facets of adaptation from Literature to Cinema.'
Dr. Kumar has contributed significantly to contemporary Indian literature through published articles and reviews in renowned journals and magazines like Anuvaad, Hans, Himanjali, Parikatha, Banas Jan, Samkalin Bhartiya Sahitya, Samved etc.
His previous roles include serving as an Associate Professor in the Hindi Department at the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, Punjab, and as an Assistant Professor at the Central University of Karnataka, Kalaburagi, Karnataka. He has also worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Indian Language Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
