Professor
Dr. Rabindra Kumar is a Professor in Sociology. 8 Ph.D. and 4 M.Phil. students have been awarded under his supervision and he has also supevised One Post Doctoral Student of ICSSR. He has completed a sponsored research Project of ICSSR : The Post Liberalization Rural Transformation: A Study of Rural Society of Bihar and also designed and developed a Certificate Programme on Life and Thought of B.R. Ambedkar in association with Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India. His areas of specialization are Indian Society, Social Development, Social Exclusion, Dalit Studies, Political Sociology, Rural Sociology and Sociology of Marginalisation.
