Dr Rao received Ph.D in Computer Science (System & Network Security) from Central University of Hyderabad, M.Tech(Computer Science) from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and B.Tech(Computer Science & Engineering) from Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Dr. Rao has over 28 years of professional experience in the field of Information & Communication Technologies. He has Proficiency in Design, Development and Management of Integrated Software Applications & Database Systems in a networked environment. He executed various projects in Configuring and Commissioning of modern Computing & Network Infrastructure, Network services and Security devices at various Organizations, where worked.

As an Academician, he taught various subjects to the Students of M.Tech, MCA, MBA and M.Sc Programmes. Apart from teaching, he guided many student projects and designed an Academic Programme and various Training Programmes too.

As a Researcher, Dr Rao, is working in the area of System & Network Security, Cloud Computing & Virtualization, and Emerging Educational Technologies. Many of his Research papers have been published in IEEE Computer Science, ACM, Scientific Journal on Education Technology and others. Sharing National and International Conferences daises as a Session Chair, Keynote Speaker, and also presented several Research papers.

Dr. Rao is a Senior Member of IEEE, is the world’s largest technical professional organization and contributing to the chapters of the Computer Society and Technology and Engineering Management Societies of Delhi Section in various capacities as an Executive Committee Chairperson, Secretary and Member.

Prior to the current position, worked as Joint Director, Computer Division at IGNOU. Dr Rao was also associated with University of Hyderabad, NSL and others as a computer professional in various capacities.
