Mr. Pankaj Kumar

Deputy Director (Software)

 

Presently, Sh. Kumar is heading IGNOU ERP (ODLSoft) Section in Computer Division and also is Nodal Officer (eProcurement & GeM) of the University. He has 18 plus years of experience in ICT related activities having expertise in Software Development. Prior to joining the university in 2014, he was working in National Institute of electronic & Information Technology (NIELIT) since 2001.

Sh. Kumar has done M. Sc. (Physics), MCA and M. Phil (CS). He is recipient of Gold Medal in Graduation and Center of Advance Studies (CAS) National Scholarship in Post Graduation. He is NET and GATE qualified in Computer Science. He is STQC Certified ISMS (ISO27001) Lead auditor. He is Gold Certified as a buyer from Government e-Marketplace (GeM).

The area of expertise of Sh. Kumar is System Analysis, Design and Development. He has expertise is web application development using Java/JSP, ASP.Net, ASP, HTML/DHTML and ORACLE, MYSQL and MSSQL Server as database. The major projects managed by him were Student Management System of IGNOU, Digitization of National Population Register (NPR) of Registrar General of India (RGI), Department of Electronics & IT (DeitY) and RailTel Recruitment, complete computerization of Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) Delhi, Fire Monitoring System for Delhi Fire Service, Online TP Printing for Dept. of excise New Delhi, Case Management System Labour Dept., GNCTD; Online Employment Exchange, Directorate of Employment GNCTD; System Requirement Specification for Rajasthan State Land Development Bank (RSLDB) Jaipur, DTC, Dept. of Post, etc.
