Dr. Ashok Sharma joined IGNOU as Regional Director on June 01, 2007 and his first place of posting was at Regional Centre in Khanna (Punjab). After that, he served at RC Karnal (Haryana), RC, Siliguri (West Bengal), RC, Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) and RSD. His present place of posting is SRD, IGNOU Hqtrs., New Delhi as Deputy Director. By background, he is Ph. D. in Psychology and has taught Psychology for more than eight years in a degree college. He has also done CIC and PGDDE from IGNOU and has served in DEP-SSA (An IGNOU-MHRD, GoI Project) also as Programme Officer for three years before joining IGNOU as Regional Director. He has many articles, book reviews, Units and one edited book to his credit.
