Gold Medal for Innovation

One of the objectives of NCIDE is to encourage, recognise and promote innovations in distance education. Keeping this in view, the IGNOU has introduced a 'Gold Medal' for innovations in distance education. The purpose of the award is to recognize and promote innovations in ODL system as envisaged by the NCIDE, which has been on a mission to seek creative solutions to promote effectiveness, quality and reach of the ODL system. Entries are invited from different institutions including IGNOU faculty, State Open Universities and other ODL agencies.
 

The Gold Medal for 2018 was awarded to Dr. Jeetendra Pande for Integrated Open and Distance Learning through ICT for Sustainable Development. For more information click here

The Gold Medal for 2016 was awarded to Dr. Binod Deka for developing a Mobile Application as a Learner Support Services. For more information click here

The Gold Medal for 2015 was awarded to the Dr. Nilima Srivastava, Coordinator of an innovative programme of Master of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies. For more information click here

The Gold Medal for 2014 was awarded to Dr. P. Sivaswaroop, the innovator for attaining 100% Job Placement for IGNOU Tribal Students of Gadchiroli. For more information click here

The Gold Medal for 2013 was jointly awarded to Prof. Santosh Panda and Dr. G. Mythili, Coordinators of Postgraduate Diploma in E-learning (PGDEL). For more information click here

The Gold Medal for 2011 was awarded jointly to the

  • Coordinator of an innovative programme for Angan Wari Workers Training Programme to Dr. Harkirat Bains, and For more information click here

The Gold Medal for 2010 was jointly awarded to the

The Gold Medal for 2008 was awarded to Prof. Manoj Kulshrestha for an innovative instructional design for Certificate Programme in Motor Cycle Service and Repair of the IGNOU-HHML Project. For more information click here

The Gold Medal for 2006 was awarded to Dr. Rakesh Chander Sharma,
